Just to see, i took pictures of this toroidal ferrite memory.
It uses 64 columns and 64 lines. So this is 4096 bits memory.
The dimension of active area is 47 mm x 47 mm. (Less than 2" square)
I am very impressed by the worker able to put 5 wires in a hole smaller than 0.4 mm, without any tore destruction.
Each element measures 0.6 mm and the hole 0.4 mm.
Note. Transfluxor memories have 2 holes per ferrite element.
